After years away, one of Miramichi’s most beloved riverfront traditions returns—bigger, brighter, and more festive than ever. The Parade of Boats is lighting up the water at Rockin’ River Fest 2025, and you’re invited to join us—whether you’re waving from the wharf or cruising in the spotlight.

When: Friday, July 25 & Saturday, July 26
Boats sail past Ritchie Wharf at 8:30 PM (just before fireworks)

Where to Watch: The best viewing is along the riverfront at Ritchie Wharf, where the boats will sail by in full decoration just before the fireworks begin. Find your spot early, bring a chair, and enjoy one of the most scenic highlights of the festival.

Want to Join the Parade?

Boaters from across the region are invited to decorate their vessels and take part in the Parade of Lights. Whether you're going for whimsical, patriotic, retro rock, or full-on party barge, we want to see you on the water.

One winner will be crowned each night, based on creativity, execution, visual impact, and crowd reaction.

PRIZE: A Boater’s Basket from Three Dog Distillery — packed with local treats, and distillery goods!

How to Enter:

Register Online Here - so we know roughly how many to expect
Choose your night(s) - Friday, Saturday, or both
Upload a Photo Here - Submit a picture of your decorated boat by 8PM on your sailing day
(used for judging + promo) *MOST IMPORTANT!
Start Location - Douglastown Marina at 8:00 PM sharp
Sail Past Ritchie Wharf - Around 8:30 PM for judging
